  2. Assemble the push-fit tension pole until it reaches its highest
  3. Cautiously place the tension pole through the graphic until it reaches the top
  4. Use the rope to tie your flag and fasten it through the metal hole at the bottom of the pole
  5. Lastly, attach your flag pole to the base unit

Notice

Economy Flags are unfortunately not suitable for double-sided flags.

Due to the nature of flag bases and flag poles, units can often lean slightly depending on the direction they are facing. This is normal behaviour and should be accompanied by securing the base as strongly as possible.

Please, take a look at all out Flag choices to find other flags that are suitable for double sides: https://morethanjustprint.co.uk/product/fin-flag/

Consider where you position your Economy flag, as air pollution will cause the white areas to become grey and UV can, over time, cause deterioration and fading to the fabric.

Economy Flags can be washed in a regular washing machine on a 40 degrees wash with everyday detergents. Always allow your flag to completely dry out before storing.

Ensure that your flag doesn’t catch or snag on its pole or any other surrounding objects. Do not place poles too close together.

Dismantle your Economy flag during adverse weather conditions, including strong winds in excess of Beaufort scale 4 (13-18mph). Heavy rain combined with high winds can increase the weight of the flag and put extra strain on the pole.

Life expectancy is entirely dependant on the climatic conditions and hours of flying. The realistic maximum lifespan of a regularly used Economy flag is six months.

PDF Files

High resolution (300dpi) files are the best for us to work with. Please see the settings below to get the best quality printing.
  • Resolution: Choose High Resolution
  • Compression Settings – For colour and greyscale this should be downsampled to 300dpi with “auto compression” set on high
  • Font Embedding – Should be set to “embed all fonts”
  • Colour needs to be set as CMYK

Adobe Illustrator Software LogoAdobe Illustrator

Convert all text to outlines and embed all fonts. Save as a PDF file with 3mm bleed and crop marks.

Adobe Photoshop Software LogoAdobe Photoshop

The resolution should be set to 300dpi. Save the file as either JPEG or TIFF. Other files not listed above must be saved either as an EPS or JPEG.

Adobe InDesign Software LogoAdobe InDesign

All fonts and pictures used in your artwork need to be supplied to us in a separate folder using the “package” function under the “file” menu. Zip your files and folders before uploading or sending to us via e-mail. Please also include a PDF. We can then use the PDF to make sure that nothing is missing or moved.

Artwork Bleed

  • Please supply 3mm bleed around your artwork.
  • Please ensure that the colour is set to CMYK, not RGB.
  • Please provide crop marks around all your supplied artwork.

Microsoft Office Files

We cannot print straight from the following programmes. However, we can save a PDF file and re-send back to you for proofing.
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Publisher
  • PowerPoint
You can save your Microsoft Office files as a PDF yourself if you would prefer. That way you can see exactly what the printed file will look like. Please note: It is important when supplying a PDF from a Microsoft Office application, that extra care is taken to ensure any spot colours are created correctly in your original document/file. Please supply a screenshot of your Microsoft Office file before conversion. You can do this by following the instruction below for both Mac and PC. Mac: Press ‘Command’ + ‘Shift’ + 3 for a full screenshot, or ‘Command’ + ‘Shift’ + 4 to select an area to screenshot. This will save a PNG file to your desktop. PC: There is a key on your keyboard that says ‘Print Screen’. You can then paste this into a document or email to send over.
